Leadership grounded in connection, clarity, and community
Provider Enrichment Services is entering a meaningful new chapter: one shaped by growth, reflection, and a renewed commitment to clarity. As part of that chapter, we are proud to share that Martaj (Taj) Crim-Marks has stepped into the role of President of the Board.
Taj brings with him not only leadership experience, but a deep respect for people, process, and purpose. His approach aligns closely with the heart of PES: listening first, leading with intention, and ensuring that growth never comes at the expense of connection.
“I see Provider Enrichment Services as an organization rooted in trust,” Taj shared. “The work has always been about people and about helping individuals recognize their own leadership and create change where they live. My role is to help protect that foundation while supporting thoughtful, sustainable growth.”
As PES continues to evolve, Taj’s vision emphasizes stewardship over speed. Rather than expanding for the sake of expansion, he is focused on strengthening the systems, shared language, and leadership practices that allow the organization to remain grounded as it grows.
That means:
-
Supporting alignment and shared understanding at the board and leadership level
-
Ensuring decisions reflect lived experience, not just metrics
-
Holding space for reflection alongside forward momentum
“Taj leads with listening, and that matters deeply to this organization,” says La Donna Butler, Founder & Chief Strategy Officer. “His leadership reflects the heart of Provider Enrichment Services: honoring people, building trust, and making space for others to step into their own leadership. I’m grateful for his willingness to steward this work with care and intention as we move forward.”
This moment is not about redefining Provider Enrichment Services. It is about naming what has always been true \ and carrying it forward with clarity.
“We’re not trying to become something new,” Taj noted. “We’re becoming more intentional about who we already are, and more thoughtful about how we show up for the community.”
As President of the Board, Taj will help guide PES through this next season with care, accountability, and respect for the relationships that have shaped the organization from the beginning.
We are grateful for his leadership, his perspective, and his commitment to ensuring that Provider Enrichment Services continues to grow in a way that feels human, credible, and aligned. This post marks the beginning of a more visible storytelling chapter for PES, a chapter rooted in reflection, leadership, and shared purpose.
We’re glad you’re here.
